Gettin' Ready!

In order for the mama to have leave to attend the VHE Conference, that same mama must accomplish a great deal before she leaves! That mama would be me. :+) I have been so busy with cleaning the house and planning food for my own family as well as some other family that is coming to visit for several days and will be there when I come home that I just have not blogged. My dear friend and I will be driving down tomorrow morning and enjoying ourselves immensely. :+)

I am excited because I get to see Diana Waring, who is a dear and precious person that I just respect so much as well as Susan Wise Bauer and Andrew Pudewa--both excellent individuals. I also get to meet some of my favorite email correspondence people, Kendra and Lisa (who just happen to write a darn fine review too). There are others too that I will have the pleasure of meeting that I have only known over email or who I have not seen in a long time so this weekend will have lots of great conversation and good memories! (And sharing a hotel room with my dear friends Heather and Diane will yield nothing but great conversation and lots of laughs!) Yes, I am excited about this weekend. :+)

I don't know that I will be live-blogging this event as I did the last conference, but I will see what I can do once I return.  Have a happy weekend!

Hope you have a great time. It sounds like you will be having fun. We went to our first homeschool fair in April. It was great!

How I miss going to HS conventions. It's been years. Something is always interfering.

The merchant hall is my favorite. Oh well, maybe next year.

It was so absolutely GREAT to see you again and to spend some time chatting and catching up a bit!! I linked to your blog in my post-convention blog post.

BTW, I remembered what it was you used to say about your kids that I catch myself saying to mine...."squishy". That was it! And, hey, no more comments about my gray hair, okay, or I'll start firing Bible verses your way about the gray head being a crown ;-) Love you lots, my friend!

It was so good to meet you ..... in all our silliness. Oh my! I was fried by the end of the day. Got home and my husband jokingly questioned my where abouts. Said the glossy eyes were a bit telling.

And that freind - I had just ran into her! I see her a few times a year and it's alway's interesting. What a hoot!

Glad the weather cooled down! Very refreshing 2 day's though. Hope it was for you too.

Thank you so much for posting the review for Story Starters. I really wanted to see it, but our library (which carries the other Andreola books) doesn't have it. Now I know it is just what I want, and I will order it, "forthwith!"

Enjoyed visiting your blog, and will come back regularly.

Kate~

How was the conference? I'm still hoping you'll come to PA for the CHAP convention next spring! I'd love to meet you!

I am going to be leaving home for 2-3 weeks something this fall~ to go to Vietnam to pick up our new baby (boy!)~ leaving hubby and daughters at home~ that should prove interesting! I'm sure the week or so before hand, I will be going absolutely crazy trying to organize and prepare everything!
