Time Marches On

It is hard to believe that three years ago today I was celebrating the birth of our baby, Emma. Here she is in all her sweet little girlness:

It is her third birthday today and I don't know where the time went! Life is so fast and some days I forget that they are only little for so long. My oldest, Hannah, just turned 11 in September. Where did that time go?! I remember being pregnant with her and the wonder of this tiny precious thing that is now almost my height!

I find myself amazed that I am no longer in my early twenties, that I have five children, and that the oldest is on the brink of young womanhood!! I think someone else has been living my life some days.

I truly am blessed by my family; my children are my greatest gift and treasure. I know I am not worthy to be the parent to these children, but may God help me to be the kind of mother He wishes me to be. I need a lot of prayers on this one!

Warmly,

Kate

Happy Birthday to Emma!

Kate,

I just HAVE to say thank you for thinking up the

alkjdl;kgjakjslkdjfldkjlkjglkjasdljfsd;ak laugh!

JenIg posted something hilarious on my blog along with the "useful tool" of the laugh you created and I responded with an alkdkljflk;jgljdlfjasldkfkj laugh for the first time and it was extremely fun to do!!! It is much funner to do than 'lol' or 'rofl'!

Thank you and I hope you don't mind if I join along here and there in the ranks that are doing the "lkjglkadjgljdlkajd dj fsldjflkdsjfk" laugh!

I know how you feel, Kate. Sometimes in my head, I'm still only 21, and then when I get in the car and hand the keys to my 16 year old daughter, I know something's going on!
